RECEIVED COMPLAINT THAT WAS ORIGINALLY SUBMITTED TO THE STATE THAT CUSTOMERS WERE SMOKING INSIDE THE BAR. IT STATED THAT AFTER 1AM IN THE MORNING, THAT CUSTOMERS ARE ALLOWED TO SMOKE INSIDE.
ACCORDING TO THE SMOKE FREE ILLINOIS ACT, SMOKING IS NOT ALLOWED INSIDE PUBLIC PLACES WHICH INCLUDES BARS/TAVERNS. SPOKE WITH THE BARTENDER ON DUTY WHO STATED SHE HAD NOT WITNESSED ANY CUSTOMERS SMOKING INSIDE, BUT DID STATE THAT SOME WORKERS DO SMOKE WHEN THE BAR IS CLOSED. USUALLY THIS HAPPENS DURING POST CLOSING CLEAN UP AND PRE-OPENING PREP. FACILITY DOES HAVE THE SIGNAGE AT BOTH DOORS. AGAIN, AT NO TIME IS SMOKING TO OCCUR INSIDE THE BAR. CONTINUATION OF THESE ACTIVITIES COULD RESULT IN VIOLATION NOTICES AND FINES. |
